Transparent pricing guidance for Dogwood Field Consulting advisory engagements — project fees, session rates, and retainer options for executive decision support.
How we price our work
Dogwood Field Consulting uses fixed-fee project pricing for defined engagements and day-rate or retainer pricing for ongoing advisory relationships. We do not charge hourly rates for project work, because we believe you should know the total cost before we begin.
All fees quoted are exclusive of GST.
Executive Decision Advisory

A 40% deposit is required to commence. The balance is due on delivery of the final recommendation.
Strategic Planning Sessions

Includes preparation, facilitation, session notes, and a two-week follow-up call. Travel outside the Geelong/Melbourne corridor is charged at $180 per hour plus expenses.

What affects your quote
Several factors influence the final fee for project-based work:
- Number of scenarios — More paths to evaluate require more analysis time.
- Stakeholder interviews — Each additional interview adds preparation and synthesis time.
- Data availability — If financial and operational data is readily accessible, engagements move faster.
- Timeline — Compressed timelines may require additional resource allocation.
- Travel — On-site work outside Victoria incurs travel and accommodation costs at cost.
Discovery conversations
Initial discovery calls (up to 90 minutes) are provided at no charge. Following the call, we issue a written proposal with fixed fee, scope, timeline, and deliverables within five business days.
Payment terms
Invoices are payable within 14 days. For engagements exceeding $25,000, milestone-based payment schedules can be arranged. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards.
